One of the first blu-ray burners on the market was the Pioneer’s BDR-101A. The drive is equipped with a single-lens optical pickup with 2 lasers: a blue laser which can read and write to Blu-ray Disc, and a red laser that reads and writes to DVD media. It writes a complete blue-ray disc in about 45 minuttes (22GB).
